April 2026 Update

This update launches a major new generation of the AI Assistant, introduces record-level alerts for surfacing issues across cases, and brings significant refinements to chronology output, document downloads, and the PD Calculator. April's work focused on faster, more controlled paths through document review for both lawyers and QMEs.

AI Assistant 2.0

The AI Assistant moved from a prompt-based system to an agentic AI, capable of planning what to retrieve and reasoning across both records and matter documents.

  • Agentic Architecture: The Assistant now plans its own approach, deciding what information to retrieve and how, instead of working from a single prompt-and-response loop.
  • Multi-Step Reasoning: The Assistant can plan a series of steps, follow up on its own findings, and synthesize across multiple sources before answering.
  • Citations Across Records and Matter Documents: Answers now cite sources from both medical records and matter documents in a single, unified flow

Medical Record Alerts

Records now have first-class alerts to surface issues without leaving the workflow.

  • Medical Record Alerts: New record-level alerts surface issues for review, including industrial injuries body-part gap detection.

Chronology & Document Downloads

Major refinements landed for chronology output and how generated documents look on download.

  • Consistent Chronology Sorting: Chronology ordering is now aligned between the on-screen view and downloaded sections, with draggable vitals-style cells for fine-tuning.
  • Chronology Page Refinements: Cleaner table layouts, more accurate page links, and smoother interactions across the chronology view.
  • Cleaner Document Output Controls: New per-template options to hide feedback text and links in PDF and DOCX downloads, and to enable PDF generation by default.
  • Combined PDF Index Page: New template setting to include or omit the index page when generating combined PDF downloads.
  • Polished Markdown Rendering: Better handling of tables, lists, and rich formatting in downloaded reports.

PD Calculator Refinements

Continued refinement of the PD Calculator workflow for workers' comp teams.

  • PD Calculator Guided Tour: A built-in walkthrough that surfaces calculator features and shortcuts for new and returning users.
  • Streamlined Calculator Inputs: Refined dropdowns, paginated lists, and a clearer Add-PD checkbox flow for faster impairment entry.
  • Impairment Table Layout: Cleaner table layouts that improve readability when reviewing or editing impairments.
